Annual General Meeting April 2026
The Friends 2026 AGM will be on Tuesday 21 April, at 5.30pm, in Old St Paul’s Church, Mulgrave Street, Thorndon.
This year we were delighted to welcome as guest speaker Cherie Jacobsen, Director of the Katherine House and Garden. Old St Paul’s was central to the social and cultural life of Thorndon, the government end of town, after Wellington became the nations’ capital city. Katherine Mansfield’s family had close ties with the church, where her parents, Harold and Annie Beauchamp, were married in 1884. Cherie holds a Master of Museum and Heritage Practice. In 2025 she was awarded a Winston Churchill Fellowship to undertake a month-long study tour of historic house museums in England and Ireland.
